National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
The RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
The RLSS UK national pool lifeguard qualification (NPLQ) is the most awarded lifeguard qualification in the United Kingdom and Ireland and Internationally recognised.
It is a minimum of a 36 hour long course followed by a practical assessment on Pool Lifeguard theory, pool rescue and first aid.
5 day course which can be worked over weekends or a Monday to Friday week. In order to obtain this qualification you will need to be able to be a strong enough swimmer.
Pre requisites;
- Swim 100 meters on your front and back.
- To be able to jump/dive in to a pool.
- To be able to climb out of the pool unaided, without a ladder or steps.
- To be able to touch the floor in the deep end of a typical pool.
- To be at least 16 years of age at the time of assessment.
